CTC Template Management
Create and manage CTC templates with salary calculation rules, versions, and runtime parameters.
CTC templates define how salary is structured and calculated for different employee levels, departments, or salary grades.
How to Create a CTC Template
- Go to Payroll โ CTC Templates
- Click Create Template
- Enter template code and title
- Configure runtime parameters
- Add component calculation rules
- Set effective date
- Click Publish or Save as Draft
Template Fields

| Include Employer in CTC | Whether employer contributions are part of CTC |
| Effective Date | Date from which template is active |
| Version Number | Auto-assigned version |
| Status | Draft, Published, or Archived |
Template Parameters

Template Version Management
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Template being configured, not yet active |
| Published | Active template used for CTC generation |
| Archived | Older version retained for history |
Important: Never edit a Published template directly. Instead clone it as a Draft, make changes, and publish the new version.
Version Actions
- Clone published version as Draft
- Update Draft version
- Publish Draft version
- Archive older version
Create separate templates for different employee grades โ for example, Junior, Senior, and Manager level templates โ to handle different salary structures cleanly.
