Assigning Assets to Employees

Assign and reassign company assets to employees with full ownership records and history.

IT Admin can assign assets from inventory to employees and reassign them when ownership changes.

How to Assign an Asset

  1. Go to Asset Management โ†’ Asset List
  2. Find the asset to assign
  3. Click Action โ†’ Reassign
  4. Select the employee
  5. Add remarks if required
  6. Click Submit

After Assignment

  • Asset status updates to Assigned
  • Asset appears in employee's My Asset List
  • Employee receives notification to acknowledge
  • Assignment is recorded in Asset History

How to Reassign an Asset

Use the same process โ€” select a new employee from the Reassign form. Previous assignment history is retained.

When to Reassign

  • Employee is transferred to another department
  • Asset is returned and needs to go to a new employee
  • Original employee has left the organization

Always verify the employee's department and designation before assigning assets to ensure the right asset type is allocated to the right role.
